LENT 2025 - Who Is God?

“No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other,
‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of
them to the greatest of them, says the LORD; for I will forgive
their iniquity and remember their sin no more.”
Jeremiah 31:34

Who is God? It is the question of the ages. More ink has been spilled, and more debates have occurred attempting to answer this question throughout human history than probably any other question. During Lent this year we will be adding our voices to this ongoing discussion and seeking answers to this question by studying the various names, titles, and descriptions of God found in Holy Scripture. Scripture is overflowing with different names, titles and descriptions of God. These provide us with some wonderful insights into the person and character of God. Although we can not look at all the names of God during the six weeks of Lent, we can spend some time examining a representative sample to help us deepen our faith and understanding and grow in our relationship with the One who loves us and who we call God.

Who is God? Experience God in fresh ways and grow in your faith by encountering the meanings of His different names revealed in Scripture. Join us during Lent as we meditate on names and titles of God found in both the Old and New Testaments.
